Modern Slavery Statement
Syncfusion, Inc. has taken steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or with any vendors we work with.
This statement is only in relation to Syncfusion and our business, not the business of other firms. Any references to “our people” refer to those individuals who work on behalf of Syncfusion.
Overview
In accordance with Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) (the “Australian Act”) and all other applicable laws and regulations, this statement sets out the steps that Syncfusion has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chain. This statement is on behalf of Syncfusion and was approved by its CEO.
What is modern slavery?
Modern slavery is an international crime, affecting millions of people around the world – a growing global issue that transcends age, gender, and ethnicity. The term refers to a variety of situations in which people are forced to work illegally against their will across many different sectors, from agriculture, construction, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and more.
Our policies in relation to slavery and human trafficking
Syncfusion takes a zero-tolerance position on violations, within our business or among our vendors, of national or international laws regarding human trafficking and modern slavery. Our procedures to address modern slavery include:
- A “Modern Slavery Policy” for our people that sets out the key issues and how we should respond, including a process for raising concerns internally.
- A “Whistleblower Policy” for our people that sets out the rights, procedures, roles, and responsibilities of employees to report misconduct and illegal activities.
- A whistleblower forum, available to our employees on our internal intranet page.
- Employment policies including a “Code of Conduct” and “Corporate Ethics Policy” that set out protections for our employees from unfair treatment and promote a culture of inclusivity.
- Market related pay and potential for rewards reviewed annually.
- Risk assessment and management of all vendors.
- Syncfusion provides annual training on all our policies and procedures, including our policy on modern slavery.
Syncfusion takes responsibility for this Statement and its related objectives and will review and update it in accordance with any new and relevant legislation.
