Inactive event problem?

Hi,

I have created a nodebeforepaint event,

the problem I am having is when switching windows to another application then the border of the selected node appears dashed like the attached image and then disappears (it flashes).

(I did not paint it) and not sure where it comes from but before nodebeforepaint is called it appears and I have captured it.

Is there any way to fix this? because 

If switching windows frequently it also flashes frequently.

After further investigation, it was caused by the control callback.

I redirected them and the problem went away
