I am currently working with the Syncfusion DocumentEditor component and have customly added headers and footers to the document in the provided demo. However, when I download the document as a DOCX file, the header and footer sections are missing in the downloaded file.
Could you please guide me on how to ensure the header and footer content is included in the exported DOCX file? If there are any specific steps or configurations required to resolve this, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Hi Ananthi ,
We were unable to reproduce the reported issue from our end. We have noticed that the web layout is enabled in the provided screenshot, and we suspect the issue you are facing is because the document opened in the web layout, which will not include the Header/Footer. This is the actual behavior of MS Word, and the Document Editor also follows the same. We recommend you use the print layout to view the Header/Footer content. Please check the image screenshot for your reference.

Hi Kavitha,
Thank you for your earlier response.
I wanted to provide an update regarding the issue. By enabling the enablePrintLayout
property, I was able to include the header and footer in the exported DOCX file successfully. However, I noticed that when exporting the document as an SFDT file, the header and footer are not included.
Could you please guide me on how to ensure the header and footer content is included when exporting as SFDT?
for reference, I have attached screenshot aswell as exported sfdt file
