Font color not updating correctly on certain text

I encountered another strange behavior with the rich text editor font color, it is not updating correctly, and this is reported by our client. They have this sample text (Provided in the steps below) and this text is probably copied from some source somewhere. I was only able to replicate this issue when I copied the exact text and pasted it onto a rich text editor field.

Steps:

1. Copy the exact text below
• Sample4
  
• Sample5
2. Paste it into a rich text editor field (I use the preview/sample on stackblitz) 
3. Highlight both rows and change the font color to something random. I selected Yellow, and noticed that the font color is not changing for the entire highlighted text
4. Interestingly if I only highlighted the first row ("Sample4"), that seems to work fine, but not the second row ("Sample5")

Appreciate the help if you have any insights as to why this behaves the way it is.

I was able to reproduced it by going to the provided stackblitz link. For the code, there is nothing fancy, it's just simple initialization like you did with the toolbar items.

The only thing I see that may differ in our step is that you have probably pasted the text to a word doc and then did another copy into the rich text field. Try copying the text directly from this thread into the rich text field on the stackblitz link you provided.

We have considered the reported issue “Font Color Not Updating Correctly on Certain Text" as a bug from our end and the fix for the issue will be included with our upcoming patch release , which is expected to be rolled out in the first week of December, 2024.
