Unable to change style at edge of bookmark

Hello,

I am not being able to change the bold text property when the selection is right after a bookmark, like the image below:


In this case, there is no space between the bookmark and my cursor (painted in red). If the cursor is at the current position, using the panel button will change the selected position and won't toggle the bold style. If I try to use the Ctrl+B shortcut, it will also not toggle the bold style. I am using the latest document editro version, 26.1.41.

I would like to achieve this programatically, but I believe my code is not working due to this limitation seen in the regular editor behavior. I have created a demo of what I am trying to achieve, available at:

We attempted to reproduce the reported issue using our latest release but were unable to observe it. To resolve this, please upgrade to the latest package versions.
