Trying to use PDF viewer

My website is written in vb.net. I would like to use a tool to view pdf files. This is C# code, so I guess that I have to compile this and place a .dll file into the bin folder of my vb.net project. Is that right?
I could not get this to work. The sample pdfviewer page worked for me but I tried to copy the code from that page into my program, there is a missing master page and other errors. I followed the instructions in this page here at https://help.syncfusion.com/aspnet/pdfviewer/gettingstarted This gives me error messages. It appears to be an olderpage referecing Visual Studio 2012. Is there an updated page to make this control work?
