Uploader deletes mail from Outlook inbox

Hello,

When I drag and drop a mail from my Outlook inbox into Uploader component, it gets deleted. Now the problem is that some users like this and some not.. so is there a way to disable this functionality?

Best regards. Marko.

Hi Marko,

Greetings from Syncfusion support.

This is not a issue due to uploader control rather it is due to the Chromium and JavaScript itself. Please refer to the following online forums more information to resolve the issue:

Hi,

Thank you for additional information about the problem. I think I managed to solve it.

All things aside.. some users really like this "feature" that email gets moved to deleted emails in outlook.. so could you make an Input binding for this option:

Hello.

I will come again about this issue since your response to my last replay was very mellow.. almost "ignored".

So again. In the topic that you linked me (here) people are saying that Chrome is leaving the dataTransfer.dropEffect option set to "none" meaning that it is up to the developer to set it on "move", "copy", etc... So in my opinion it is up to YOU to add the possibility to set the "dropEffect" option in uploader component. Again I will also link the picture where I think you should set it IN YOUR code. Of course include an "Input()" parameter  (angular) or an option (JS) so that users can set this setting to their preference.

UNTIL then for all the users that are having trouble with this.. here is what works for me.

...and don't forget to remove the event listener.

I'm looking forward to a more serious response :).
Regards.

Marko

The outlook may automatically delete your emails if you have set the program to do so via the message rules. With the Outlook rule settings, you can set the app to automatically move specific emails to the Deleted Items folder or some other folder.

Peter
