Map with GPS coordinates as points on the map

Is there a way to create the following view in a map widget? 

I have GPS coordinates that I should show on a map as points / location pins. Is there a way of achieving this?

Hi Eric, 

Thanks for contacting Syncfusion Support. 

Currently we do not have support to mark GPS coordinates as points in our built-in Dashboard Map widget. But this requirement can be achieved through custom widget support by adding the Google Map as a custom widget for Dashboard. We will provided you the sample Google Map custom widget by 31^st August 2018. 

Note: Google Key for Google Map should be generated from your end to render it. To generate the google key refer the link.

OK, that is nice! Can I also do this based on Leaflet/OpenStreetMaps? Google starts charging above a certain activity-level nowadays...

Yes. Your requirement can also be achieved via Leaflet Map. We will provide you the Leaflet Map custom widget instead of Google Map on or before 4^th September 2018.

Thanks for the update. 

 

We have prepared a Google Map Custom Widget for your requirement to pin point a region in the map using the latitude and longitude points. Please follow the below steps to import and use the Google Map custom widget in the Dashboard Application. We will also provide you the Leaflet Map custom widget within 2 business days as promised before. 

Google Map Custom Widget: http://www.syncfusion.com/downloads/support/directtrac/213809/ze/Google_Map-1276394614.zip  

Step 1 : Need to generate the google map key through the link. 

Step 2: Manually need to unzip the GoogleMap.sycw package (need to change the extension as .zip to unzip the package) to replace it with the Key generated from their google account in the widgetconfig.json file. 

 

Step 3: After replacing the key in the widgetconfig.json, they need to zip all the below folder and then change extension as .sycw as in the below screen shots. 

 

 

Step 4: After converting it in to .sycw extension, Google Map widget can be imported in the Dashboard Designer and used like the built-in widgets. For information refer the link. 

Step 5: Binding the data to the Google Map as like below after importing it in the Dashboard Designer.
