Doughnut, Pie Color Palette

Dear Syncfusion Team/Users,

I have a question regarding the color palette which can be assigned to a doughnut, pie, etc.
Currently I want to visualize the outcome of test results. There are four different results: not tested, irrelevant test, OK, NOK which are represented by an individual integer value. Now I want that all different result types to be assigned one specific color (e.g. OK = green, NOK = red).
Is it possible to achieve this and if so, how??

What I could achieve was that the pie was sorted after the test results and that I have assigned the color palette in that order. This works as long as all four test results occur in the selected data. If one type (e.g. OK) is not part of the result set then its assigned color (green) is assigned to the next result type which means that it can happen, that the test result NOK gets the green color :-/

To sum it up: I want to assign a test result (Columns - "Testergebnis") a fix color! Attached you can find the corresponding screenshot:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Björn Nellinger,

Currently we are assigning the colours based on the index of the values. Your requirement can be achieved with the help of colour customization feature, that allows you to customize the colours based on dimension and measure values. We will include this feature in our next release wish list.

Please let me know if you have any concern on this.

Dear Surya,

assigning the colors according to their index does not make that much sense, as the same query might deliver 3 or maybe 4 results depending on the chosen period of time. And as soon as the number of results change, the colors are mixed up and different doughnut charts may show different colors for the same state - which is totally confusing!

Is there any workaround or do I have to wait for a couple of months until the next version of dashboard will be published?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Björn Nellinger,

Currently, we don’t have any workaround for this requirement. As we mentioned in our earlier update, we have considered your requirement and it will be resolved in our next release (3.2 v).

Please let me know if you have any concern on this.

Regards,
Surya.
