Export to image in codebehind

I've just downloaded 12.4.0.24. I've seen various posts / example code for exporting to charts to images; some reference ExportToImage, others mention a ChartOutPut. I can't seem to find any way to to this in a code behind environment (neihter of the forementioned methods / paramaters seem to exist).. is it possible? I've been trying to update the example files you get with the install to do this with no luck.
