Currently our Metro Studio only supports on Windows but the feedback that you have provided has been already added to our internal feature/incident management system.

Hi Tim, 

We have already added this request to our internal feature requests database but have no plans to work on this in the near future. The delay is mainly due to other higher priority items on the list that we have to work on first. Another reason for delay is that Metro Studio is written using WPF and relies on several windows API’s so it would almost require a complete rewrite to make it work on a Mac. We will update this thread if we make any progress in this direction.

One, why not just release a version of the icons that are image files so anyone can download and use them?

Two, have you considered redoing this as an Electron app? http://www.codemag.com/article/1603041? It worked for Visual Studio Code.  There are a lot of designers on Mac OS and making these available to them would greatly increase your visibility.

We have maintained icons in the MetroStudio as path file. Therefore, we have provided an option to export the icon from the path in MetroStudio instead of downloading directly as an image file. Please let us know if you need further assistance on this.

Any update on this?  In case you guys aren't aware of the developments in the 21st century, everything is moving to cross platform.  Forcing your loyal Mac customers to essentially have some kind of VM to run windows for your products is going to cost you clients.
