Syncfusion is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month, and as part of our celebrations we will be posting to the blog a number of retrospectives on our history. There is so much we could say, but perhaps nothing so neatly summarizes our progress as a company as a look at our signature product, Essential Studio®.
Essential Studio® was originally called Essential Suite and launched in 2002. Today, visitors to our website will find Essential Studio® available for a dozen platforms, allowing developers to create products that work flawlessly across devices and development environments. Developers working with Essential Suite were limited to .NET development. The current version of Essential Studio® features over 650 controls, while Essential Suite only offered Windows Forms tools and the first version of our perennially popular grid control. Even by 2006 we had only doubled our number of components, as seen in this archived screenshot of the Syncfusion website.
But while the size of our offerings was still limited, Syncfusion had already dedicated itself to providing the quality support that makes Essential Studio® more than simply a large collection of controls. By 2006 we already offered our 24/7 Direct-Trac support service. We have long offered quarterly updates to Essential Studio®, allowing for rapid expansion in platform support and control features.
Essential Studio® is our finest achievement. We have been working on it since the company’s founding and continue to support it to this day. From the four-component Essential Suite for .NET to the massive library of over 600 components supported across 12 platforms, Essential Studio® has grown alongside us.
If you are a longtime customer who remembers the earlier versions of Essential Studio®, we’d love to hear your stories of how our continued support has benefited you. Share with us in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
