DV002 Error when viewing from a different PC

If i access the following url from the pc the server is running on it works

http://localhost:62207/en-us/dashboards/Jira/Jira

If I run http://192.168.68.100:62207/en-us/dashboards/Jira/Jira from a different pc on the lan i get DV002 The Dashboard service could not be contacted. There may be a temporary glitch or the server may be down

Hi Richard, 

Thanks for using Syncfusion Products. 

To access from other machines in the same network, Dashboard Server need to be hosted in IIS.   

You have selected IIS Express so, you could not open the Dashboard Server out of your machine.   

Please follow the steps below to host the Dashboard Server in IIS and share it to other machines in the network.  

1. Follow the instructions in the below link to host the Dashboard Server in IIS.

2. Get the IP of your machine and update the bindings in the IIS with the IP. Follow the instructions below.

 

                   

3. Open the Dashboard Server application hosted in the IIS.

 

4. Update the Dashboard Server URL in the Site URL in the Settings page as below,

 

 

5. Open the port that is used by the Dashboard Server in the firewall to be consumed over the network. Follow the instructions in the below page to add an inbound rule in the firewall.

6. Now, run the Dashboard Server from different PC.  The Dashboard can render without any  error. For example, if your IP is 192.168.68.100 and your port number is 62207, your Dashboard Server URL will be http:// 192.168.68.100: 62207.
