Alex Segal is a senior software engineer for Camber Corporation, a premier provider of solutions in systems engineering, intelligence, cyber security, information technology, unmanned systems, training, and threat mitigation.
Challenge
Segal was tasked with creating a web application that processes data and displays it in chart, grid, or text format, then allows the user to generate a statistical report in Excel or PDF form.
Solution
Segal turned to Syncfusion to achieve visual style, consistency, and functionality. He used a variety of Syncfusion’s web development controls for ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, and JavaScript, including grids, charts, editors, and the XIsIO and PDF file format libraries. He also found Essential Studio for JavaScript was superior to traditional component sets, as it allowed him to program client-side functionality with increased performance.
In addition, Segal found it especially helpful that asynchronous functionality could be achieved without sacrificing visual consistency. The straightforward structure of the document object model for both Excel and Microsoft Word formats was also important to the development of his application. The combination of Syncfusion controls and the quick assistance of the support team allowed him to achieve the look, feel, and consistency between the webpages that he desired in significantly less time.
