Is there a difference in features provided in the JS vs the Angular version of the Gantt control?

There is no differences in the features used in JS and Angular. All the properties, methods, events used in JS can also be used in angular.

Yes. Syncfusion EJ2 Components works in latest Angular version including Angular 5.
