Hi Christian,

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion support.

In the Word document, it is not feasible to set rotation for text. Instead of that, you can set text inside a container (textbox) and then rotate the textbox to preserve text in required direction.

Currently DocIO doesn’t have an API to set rotation for the textbox. We will check on this requirement to expose API for textbox rotation and we will update you more details about this on 10th July, 2019.

At present, to meet your requirement, we suggest you create image with header row contents and then apply rotation for the image using DocIO. We have prepared the sample for the same and it can be downloaded from the below link:

In this sample, we have done the follow
  1. Creates a Word document.
  2. Add table into Word document.
  3. Create an image with header row contents.
  4. Append image in cells of header row.
  5. Rotate the image to preserve the text in particular angle.
  6. Saves the Word document.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for your update.

We will consider this as feature request and will expose an API to set rotation for the textbox. We will implement, and it will include in 2019 Volume 3 which is expected to be available in September, tentatively.
