OData as a Datasource for Reporting and Dashboard

There have been a few forum comments about OData as a datasource. 

Is it planned to implement OData as a datasource for Reporting and Dashboarding Servers? Lots of applications these days are provided an OData API to enable reporting and dashboarding and we think this would be a great addition.

Thank you for contacting Syncfusion Support.

The OData supports many types of authentication in which we had already provided support for “No Authentication” and “Basic Http” Authentication through Rest API in our Dashboard designer application. We already had a plan for OAuth Authentication type feature which will be consider in our upcoming release that is expected on end of October, 2016.

We can connect the OData datasource using the external datasource in the ReportViewer control. Please inherit the IDataExtension interface in your library(extension) and configure your extension information in the web.config file like below code example in your application.
 

We had prepared the Syncfusion.Reporting.DataExtension class library to connect OData and loaded the OData using extension. Find the extension and sample from the following link,
