Quickly Build Reporting and Data Analytics Solutions with Syncfusion Components

Challenge and Solution
Beneath the surface of technology we use daily, there are countless discreet components that mesh together to create a complete, functioning system. Hidden from sight, we take these parts for granted, but each is essential to the performance of the final product. This holds true for cars. Dozens, if not hundreds, of sensors and electrical components are present throughout a vehicle, especially with more and more being built with backup cameras, blind spot sensors, and even autopilot parallel parking. Before the components for these features are installed into a vehicle, they are rigorously tested by the manufacturers and suppliers responsible for delivering each part.
Danilo Splajt of SG Automotive, a manufacturer of automotive electronic assemblies, works on functional test equipment for the electronic assemblies the company produces. One part of the test equipment is a desktop .NET application, and Splajt needed user interface controls with substantial extensibility features so he could enhance the application’s reporting and data analytics capabilities. He particularly needed fast grid controls to help achieve this goal.
To start, Splajt used the grid grouping control for Windows Forms to organize data gathered from product test results. “The control helped me significantly with its ability to handle complex data when needed,” said Splajt. “Syncfusion allowed me to provide end users a quality reporting tool in a simple package.” After implementing Syncfusion controls, Splajt estimated that he had saved 100 hours of development time. By not having to write an entire grid in C# from scratch, he was free to focus on the finer details of the application. In addition, Splajt consulted with the Syncfusion support team whenever he had questions about using Syncfusion components to add certain features to his solution. “They really helped me in cases where I couldn’t find a quick answer to my problem,” he said.
Looking ahead, Splajt intends to further expand the functionalities provided by Syncfusion in the application. “I’m really hoping to apply the Syncfusion Dashboard and Data Integration Platforms,” he noted. “I really like what I’ve seen so far.”
