We search a long time for a specific bug and we think we could figure it out now and describe it to you a little bit. We can't solve it at our end so we have to post it here. You can check it in the example project in the attachements, too.
How to reproduce:
1. start Project
2. Click into the Multiselect control
3. just scroll into the list (up and down)
4. instantly click a button which closes the Dialog
5. now the MultiSelect Popup stays visible and cant be hiden anymore
(Optional) 6.
- if you click somewhere else now, you get the following error in the developer tools too:
That also happens if the GroupBy is not activated, but then the Popup hides correctly
Further informations:
- This only happens, if the GroupBy="Group" Is implemented in the MultiSelectFieldSettings
- If you click somewhere else before, the issue doesnt exist
Please help and let us know how to fix this ASAP.
Beste regards.
Hi Dev,
Thank you for sharing the sample and the detailed steps to replicate the issue.
We have thoroughly validated the reported behavior and attempted to reproduce it on our end. However, we were unable to replicate the issue. When scrolling the MultiSelect popup up and down and then closing the dialog, the popup closes as expected.
For your reference, please check the attached GIF demonstrating our test results.
Could you please confirm if there are any additional steps or specific configurations that might be affecting the behavior? This will help us further investigate the issue.
Regards,
Yohapuja S
Hi, that's curious.
We can reproduce it mostly every try.
Maybe click also an item after scrolling or try it more often to reproduce it. We tried it many times on multiple Pcs and doesn't change anything at the source code. It is 100% like in the attached project above.
Maybe some additional infos:
- it doesn't matter which browser we use
- our Visual Studio Version is 17.13.3
- we use your 28.2.11 but we also hat this in an earlier version
- we recognized, that a bigger window reproduces the error more often, if you use the small responsive view with the burger menu, than the error doesn't appear
In the following our workflow to reproduce in the attachments.
It still happens in the 31.1.20 Version

Release Notes: Essential Studio for Blazor Release Notes
Root Cause:
When the dialog is closed immediately (e.g., during rapid user interaction), the MultiSelect popup is not properly destroyed/closed. This occurs because the popup's hide() method was not being called before the dialog's destroy lifecycle.
