External signing - what files to make it work

To externally sign a document:
https://help.syncfusion.com/flutter/pdf/working-with-digital-signature#externally-sign-a-pdf-document

I thought it was obvious but it's not...
What exactly you mean with:

  • certifcate.cer
  • privatekey.pem

I keep following errors and changing PKCS to no avail.
A sample will be great.

Please help,

Hi,

The external signing approach is used to sign the PDF document externally where the digital signature created from various source such as cloud services. And this demonstration we have not used any external services, instead of signing the PDF document with private key. We have already exported the certificate and the private key from the .pfx file and used this example. Because of Flutter doesn't have a built-in functionality to directly access and use the private key from a .pfx file for signing data.

  • certifcate.cer - This is the certificate exported from the .pfx file.
  • Privatekey.pem – This is the private key exported from the .pfx file.

We have attached the complete sample for your reference, kindly check it on your end and let us know if you have any questions.
