Filtering allows users to view data based on criteria. Highlight data, click the funnel icon, and use dropdowns to filter or sort values.
Track printed Excel sheets by adding page numbers, timestamps, and file paths to header or footers with auto-update formulas. Use &[File], &[Tab], &[Page], &[Date].
To prevent users from editing a sheet, go to Review, click Protect Sheet, set a password, select allowed actions, and confirm.
Excel’s trace precedents and trace dependents tools show how cells are linked. They help track formulas, but work one cell at a time, with blue arrows indicating data flow.
Improve spreadsheet skills by using charts to simplify data. Select two sets, click Insert, choose a graph, and Excel does the rest.
