Essential Studio® Advanced option
Essential Studio® Advanced option
While installing the Syncfusion Essential Studio® Enterprise Edition and platforms, some of the configuration option will be enabled/disabled in the installer by default. Refer the following table for more information regarding the Advanced Options.
Advanced Option | Description |
Install Syncfusion Samples | This option is used to install the Syncfusion samples to the provided samples location. This option will be enabled in all the Essential Studio® platforms.
|
Register Syncfusion assemblies in GAC | This option is used to install the Syncfusion assemblies in GAC as well as in Assemblies location. |
Uninstall the previously installed assemblies from GAC | This option is used to remove all the previously installed Syncfusion assemblies from GAC and Assemblies location.
|
Configure Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio Toolbox | This option is used to configure the Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio toolbox. Syncfusion controls will be configured in Visual Studio toolbox only if Syncfusion assemblies were installed in GAC. |
Refer below the platform wise default behavior of Advanced Option.
ASP.NET, ASP.NET (Classic), Windows Forms and WPF platforms:
For these platforms, all the options will be enabled as we are installing the assemblies in GAC and configuring the Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio toolbox.
ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET MVC (Classic) and JavaScript platforms:
For these platforms, Configure Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio Toolbox option will be disabled as there is no toolbox support for MVC and JavaScript platforms.
Universal Windows Platform:
For Universal Windows Platform, Configure Syncfusion controls in Visual Studio Toolbox option will be disabled by default since we are not providing this as an option. By default, Syncfusion UWP controls will be configured in Visual Studio toolbox using SDK.
Xamarin, PHP, JSP and Android platforms:
For these platforms, only Install Syncfusion Samples option will be enabled since these platforms assemblies will not be installed in GAC and it doesn’t have toolbox support.
