unhandled exception in filterrow

an unhandled exception appears when a user writes in the filterrow

steps to reproduce

1 write something in the first column's filterrow

2 scroll right from the horizontal scrollbar so that the column gets hidden from the view

3 

scroll back so than the first column appears again

4 press the escape button

5. the exception is thrown
