Two-Way Binding doesn't update display value

Background:

During using the dropdownlist with two-way databinding and setting the value by a button click event that is really common scenerio in many web apps. I run in a issue where the Display Value wasn't updated. This is really confusing for the end customert. 

Reproduction:
