We at Syncfusion are working on the first major release of 2021, packed with cool and useful features. You can expect the 2021 Volume 1 release in the last week of March. In this blog, I am going to give you a quick overview of the new features we plan to make available for the Xamarin.Forms platform in this 2021 Volume 1 release.
The Xamarin.Forms DataGrid will have the following new features in the 2021 volume 1 release:
This feature will allow users to navigate between cells using an external physical keyboard attached to the iOS devices.
This feature will let users set the maximum right or left swipe offset based on the size of the swipe view.
The Xamarin.Forms Image Editor will provide the following useful features:
This feature will allow us to tilt an edited image, giving it a -45 to 45-degree angle rotation.
Users can zoom in on and crop the desired part of their image.
Add simple, dotted, double-arrow, and double-arrow dotted lines to an image like in the following screenshot.
Animate a map when the center location changes in the Xamarin.Forms Maps control.
Change the values of a range by using drag options in the Xamarin.Forms Range Slider.
The Xamarin.Forms Rich Text Editor will allow us to add our own custom toolbar items to the built-in toolbar.
The Xamarin.Forms Autocomplete control will be populated using the DataTable values.
Like Autocomplete, the Xamarin.Forms ComboBox control will also be populated using the DataTable values.
The Xamarin.Forms Chat control will have the following exciting features in the 2021 volume 1 release .
This feature will allow users to show a time stamp on an image in a message.
This feature will enable users to swipe messages for the custom actions such as forwarding or replying to a message. When a user swipes a message, the message view will be moved, and the swipe view will show the custom actions.

Although these are the highlights, there will be many other new features in our Xamarin.Forms controls for this release, too. You can check them out once the release is launched. It won’t be long!
