Notes from MobileCON: Day 2

The second day of MobileCON, we were able to engage with many wonderful people, many of whom were not familiar with Syncfusion, and hear about the great things they are doing on mobile platforms.

In addition, we were excited to share the mobile aspects of our controls with developers who had only used them in desktop environments. Our Mobile BI Dashboard demos, created with HTML 5, illustrated the flexibility of our controls, showing how they can be applied to a variety of industries, including retail, utilities, and manufacturing.

The nature of these industries can mean thousands of data entries are processed in a single day, and more companies are using phones and tablets to keep up with this growth. For example, we spoke with developers for a manufacturing plant that use tablets to track inventory, shipping, and many other facets of their business.

It’s clear that no matter the size of a company, big data is taking over smaller devices, and this meant many visitors to our booth were curious about our reporting offerings. Our developers shared information about our XlsIO component, which enables users to read, write, and edit Excel worksheets, even if they do not have Excel installed.

Of course, when it comes to developing mobile apps, native deployment is a must. We were able to demonstrate how Orubase can be used to deploy applications that function natively on the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone platforms.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, and congratulations to the winners of our giveaways!
