Essential Grid

Pass Through Grouping

Grouping/Sorting/Paging operations in Grid control have been greatly optimized by allowing for Pass Through Grouping. This approach removes the additional overhead of grouping data in the middle layer and improves performance by just querying and retrieving data from the database as needed.

Client Side Improvements

Enhanced client side functionalities enable rich user interaction with the Grid. Mouse movements over rows can be responded to and columns can be hidden and shown on the client side itself.

LINQ support

Essential Grid now supports Language Integrated Queries (LINQ) in its database operations. It is not only used to query a database but also used with text files, XML files, and other data sources using identical syntax.

Grouping, Filtering, Caching session data, Paging and Record Search are the areas where LINQ comes into play. Large datasets are handled easily by the Grid using LINQ.

DataPager Support

Essential Grid now supports the DataPager control available in .NET 3.5. Easily display large amounts of data and enable flexible paging using the DataPager.

New GridPager Control

A GridPager control is included with Essential Grid to enable on demand paging. The GridPager also supports skin based customization.

Built in Filter Bar Cells

The new FilterBarTextCell allows filtering of the records based on input values. Events are raised to allow for behavior customization.

Drag Drop Rows

Easily Drag and Drop grid rows between grids. Server side and Client side events are implemented to allow for customization.

RTL support

Work with any Unicode-supported language using GridGroupingControl.

FF 3.0 support

Now work seamlessly with Firefox 3.0 and all other Gecko browsers.
